The Singapore International Foundation (SIF) launched Singapore Internationale (SI) in 2000. SI is a grant programme, which aims to pro-actively support the projection and expression of the Singaporean image, identity and outlook around the world.
Through Singapore Internationale, SIF hopes to showcase the Singaporean identity through local talents and ideas, in fields ranging from science and technology to design, innovation, and the Arts.
In recognition of its contribution to the Arts, Singapore Internationale earned the accolade of "Associate of the Arts" from the National Arts Council in 2001 and 2002.
SIF is currently reviewing the SI grant to maintain its relevance.
