Appreciation & Grants

SIF Appreciation Events

The work of the Singapore International Foundation is not possible without its partners — volunteers, corporate donors and organisational institutions. Every year, it gathers these partners for an evening of celebration to acknowledge their contributions.

In 2009 alone, two special nights were put aside to highlight the efforts of the SIF’s various partners. On 15 September, it held the Singapore Volunteers Overseas Appreciation Night for volunteers who had served over the period 10 October 2008 to 31 August 2009. Some 80 volunteers attended the event. The event was graced by the President of Singapore and SIF Patron, His Excellency President S R Nathan, who gave out certificates of appreciation to volunteers who had served on projects under the Singapore Volunteers Overseas Programme.

The SIF held its Annual Appreciation Night on 27 October to honour all its partners. Some 240 people attended the event, graced by President Nathan and Acting Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, RADM Lui Tuck Yew. President Nathan gave certificates of appreciation to 10 long service volunteers, and 14 corporate donors and organisational partners.
