Senior Manager, International Networking

Responsibilities:

The International Networking department seeks to bridge Singaporeans and world communities, and grow Friends of Singapore (FOS) communities in global cities. We connect, promote understanding and nurture enduring relationships between Singaporeans and world communities through people-to-people engagements, the sharing of insights and perspectives, and harnessing the power of ideas and networks to jointly enrich lives.

As senior manager, he/she will be required to develop strategies and programmes, as well as manage a team, to develop a network for SIF partners, alumni and friends around the world. He/she will be initiating, planning and implementing people-to-people exchange programmes to foster cultural relations, and contribute to growing the department’s portfolio in thought leadership, social entrepreneurship, arts and culture, as well as alumni and international community engagement.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder preferably with honours, in international relations/marketing, business administration or mass communications, with minimum eight years of relevant experience in the areas of cultural diplomacy, publicity and outreach, as well as programme and partnership development and management; three of these eight years should be in a managerial capacity
  • Excellent team player with good interpersonal and analytical skills who is highly motivated, meticulous, resourceful and has initiative
  • Possess excellent verbal and written skills in English and keen awareness of intercultural communication; working knowledge of business Mandarin and an Asean language is preferred to liaise with multi-lingual associates
  • Experience in leading teams, and interacting with external parties at different levels of seniority
  • Previous international experience will be considered (such as an overseas stint or high level of interaction with overseas stakeholders)
  • Experience working with the government as a partner will be an added advantage
  • Understanding and experience in social entrepreneurship will be an added advantage

Senior Manager / Manager, Human Resource

The Human Resource Team provides specialist support to build capability and capacity of our human capital and to ensure systems and structures for organisational excellence.

Responsibilities:

A highly motivated and dynamic individual to support Human Resource Management in various areas including HR Policy and Process Review & Development, Resourcing, Employee Relations, HR Operations and Talent Management.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder with at least 5 years of experience in Human Resource Management
  • Conversant with local employment regulations such as the Employment Act
  • Competent in HR research and development
  • Strong in HR operations
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Senior Manager, Volunteer Management

Responsibilities:

The senior manager will drive and oversee the building of SIF’s community of volunteers to support SIF’s capacity building projects in the region. These include:

  • Promoting the Singapore International Volunteers (SIV) brand and build partnerships to grow the pool of volunteers
  • Recruitment, appointment and training of volunteers
  • Engagement of volunteers through regular networking events, publicity, rewards & recognition and feedback surveys
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the database, administration of policies and processes, to ensure a rewarding volunteer experience
  • Leading and supervising the Volunteer Management team on a day-to-day basis, including planning, budgeting and performance management
  • Assisting in management functions

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or above with at least 8 years of relevant work experience
  • Good track record  in Volunteer Management, Human Resource Management or Alumni Engagement
  • Experience in Event Management, Marketing and Brand Management
  • Customer orientation and excellent communication skills

Assistant Manager, International Networking

As an assistant manager, you will be required to initiate, plan, manage and implement people-to-people exchange programmes in the context of international relations. You will also be required to contribute to growing the department's portfolio in thought leadership, social entrepreneurship and the arts, as well as alumni and international community engagement.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder preferably with Honours, in international relations/marketing, business administration or mass communications with minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in the areas of cultural diplomacy publicity and outreach, as welll as programme and partnership development and management event

Officer (Temp), International Volunteerism

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative support in implementing Direct Services (DS) projects in Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar
  • Coordination with host agencies on standard logistics and administrative arrangements
  • Coordination on volunteers’ travel programmes with Volunteers Management team
  • Assistance in overseas events managed by Country Managers

Requirements:

  • Graduate or undergraduate of University or Polytechnic with relevant experience
  • Good communication skills in English with high proficiency in writing
  • Dynamic and able to work independently
  • Team Player
  • Sensitivity in working with culturally diverse stakeholders
