Assistant Director, Volunteer Cooperation

Programmes Division

SIF’s Programmes Division runs programmes to bring people together to share ideas, skills and resources to enrich lives and effect positive change.  Our Volunteer Cooperation programmes build networks between Singapore and Asia through our SIF volunteers whose work contributes to development in Asian communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee SIF’s Volunteer Cooperation efforts in capacity building to developing communities in Asia
  • Lead planning of SIF’s Volunteer Cooperation programmes, to implement strategy while managing budget and resources
  • Lead staff in designing and managing overseas projects and partnerships to achieve outcomes and targets
  • Assist in building alliances with partners to support SIF’s development projects

Requirements:

  • Singaporean, who is a Degree holder from a recognised university
  • Minimum eight years of relevant experience and at least two years in a supervisory role
  • Strong operational experience, with experience in strategy development and execution in Asia
  • Efficient and organised, with good problem-solving. communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to travel

Senior Manager, Cultural Exchange

Programmes Division

SIF’s Programmes Division runs programmes to bring people together to share ideas, skills and resources to enrich lives and effect positive change.  Through Cultural Exchange programmes, we connect communities through the arts, visits and dialogues, sharing insights that build greater international understanding and fostering collaborations for a better world.

Responsibilities:

As a senior manager, you will be required to initiate, plan and implement programmes to promote  cultural understanding and exchanges. You will engage with artists, thought leaders and decision makers and manage international visit programmes, dialogues and cultural initiatives that enhance cross-cultural understanding and open avenues for collaboration and the strengthening of people-to-people ties between Singaporeans and world communities.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in international relations/marketing, humanities, or mass communications
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in the areas of international relations/marketing, communications, as well as partnership development and management
  • Keen interest in culture and current affairs is required
  • Strong team player who is highly motivated, meticulous and resourceful with good interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English with a strong understanding of intercultural communications and engagement; working knowledge of other languages would be an advantage to liaise with international stakeholders
  • Experience in interacting with external parties at all levels
  • Previous international experience will be considered (such as an overseas stint or high-level experience working with overseas stakeholders)

Manager, Global Networks

Strategic Management Division

The Strategic Management Division is responsible for strategic and corporate planning, and budget management. Global Networks formulates and implements strategies and action plans for growing Friends of Singapore (FOS) communities overseas and in Singapore, in partnership with SIF divisions.

Responsibilities:

As a manager, you will work in small teams to formulate and implement country plans that strengthen engagement and cooperation between Singaporeans and world communities. Expect to work collaboratively with SIF programme leads for volunteer cooperation, cultural exchange, good business and ourbetterworld to advance strategic goals. You will also partner our international friends to implement alumni engagement activities overseas.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in international relations, international marketing and communications, public policy/political science, sociology or other social sciences.
  • Minimum five years of experience in international relations or people diplomacy, strategy formulation and business development, alumni engagement, strategic communications.
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, viz. highly motivated, creative, resourceful and resilient. 
  • Good communication skills – written and spoken; proficiency in a third language is advantageous, to liaise with international stakeholders
  • Good people skills – at all levels and across sectors/professions, self-aware and a team player.  
  • Enjoys working across cultures, both locally and overseas.
  • Overseas assignments and/or experience is advantageous.

Manager/Assistant Manager, Communications

Communications & Corporate Development Division

The Communications & Corporate Development Division provides specialist support and services to divisions including corporate communications, stakeholder’s relations, human resource development, IT services and office management.

The Communications team comprises strategic communications specialists who effectively position Singapore through SIF to build ties.

Responsibilities:

We seek an experienced public relations & marketing communications specialist who is adept at developing and implementing integrated communication plans.  He/she is someone who thrives on engaging the media as a partner – promoting good editorials and developing strong engagement strategies with various media platforms. He/she must be passionate about the power of communication through multiple platforms and demonstrates strong capability to execute campaigns through these channels. 

  • Able to create, develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns that include public relations, public outreach and other marketing activities
  • Experienced in organising events including press briefings, exhibitions, and press visits
  • Excellent writing skills with strong ability to adopt different styles to engage different audiences
  • Manage media campaigns to broaden the impact of our programmes in the local and international markets
  • Any other duties assigned by the Head

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or above with minimum five years of relevant experience
  • Strong communications specialist with good analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of communications responsibilities
  • International experience with strong network of media contacts is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage

Programmes Division

SIF’s Programmes Division runs programmes to bring people together to share ideas, skills and resources to enrich lives and effect positive change.  Through the Good Business programmes, we nurture a network of changemakers, such as social entrepreneurs from different nationalities, by enabling and equipping them to embark on social enterprises in Singapore and beyond, contributing to positive change.

Responsibilities:

As manager / assistant manager, you will develop and implement programmes for young social entrepreneurs in the region.

Requirements: 

  • Singaporean, who is a Degree holder from a recognised university
  • Minimum three years of work experience
  • Motivated team player with strong communications, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Able to manage programmes and partners, keen on regional business development

Assistant Manager, Information Technology

Communications & Corporate Development Division

The Communications & Corporate Development Division provides specialist support and services to divisions including corporate communications, stakeholder’s relations, human resource development, IT services and office management.

We seek to leverage technology to support corporate outcomes, raise productivity and effectiveness of the organisation, and meet the IT needs of users. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform asset management, procurement, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT equipment including hardware, software, servers, desktops and laptops
  • Maintain various IT applications, operating systems, software, network, storage and email subscriptions
  • Maintain information security, availability and timeliness, including ensuring SIF’s compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act, and IT security for Windows Servers, Windows Forefront Threat Management Gateway, ShadowProtect Backup, and Symantec EndPoint Protection
  • Maintain infrastructure to deliver meaningful and timely information on SharePoint
  • Perform system backups and recovery to ensure full data retrieval for failed systems
  • Manage project development based on approved project plans
  • Coordinate with vendors to maintain optimal system and application performance

Requirements:

  • Degree and above
  • Certified as ‘Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer’
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience

Administrative Officer, Office Management

Communications & Corporate Development Division

The Communications & Corporate Development Division provides specialist support and services to divisions including corporate communications, stakeholder’s relations, human resource development, IT services and office management.

We seek to provide a supportive and conducive office environment that can help elevate staff morale and improve work productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain office areas and facilities
  • Work closely with vendors and the building management to ensure office effectiveness and efficiency
  • Manage inventory of office equipment and assets
  • Manage insurance coverage and renewal of office equipment
  • Manage centralised purchasing and maintenance repair, and operations procurement
  • Regularly review admin processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Provide administrative support for corporate meetings and events

Requirements: 

  • Diploma and above
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
