Assistant Director, International Volunteerism

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in charting overall strategy to support capacity building in developing communities in Asia
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of the department’s work, esp in the areas of project management in Indonesia and China, volunteer management and development,  marketing and publicity, research, and monitoring and evaluation
  • Lead all aspects of the department’s work in building and supporting a vibrant community of Singapore International Volunteers to contribute to overseas development
  • Assist in innovating programmes to meet community needs and market opportunities in line with organizational strategy
  • Assist in building alliances with community partners, programme partners, and sponsors to support SIF’s development projects
  • Assist in efforts to achieve continuous improvement in business systems and processes towards better project outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Oversee and develop staff who manage projects and partnerships in Indonesia and China as well as the volunteer management team

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or above from recognised university
  • 5-8 years’ relevant experience in international development or overseas community development work;  Work experience in Indonesia and / or China is essential
  • Excellent people skills with at least 5 years’ direct supervision experience
  • Good administration or operational experience with strong problem solving skills
  • Possess strong personal drive, initiative, as well as good written and oral communication skills
  • Good networking skills to engage industry partners and cultivate relationships
  • Experience in the non-profit, social sector in Singapore or international development sectors will be a distinct advantage

Country Manager, International Volunteerism

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement international volunteerism projects and services in specific developing communities
  • Sharpen the country strategy for each country, engage stakeholders, build partnerships to grow projects for positive impact on communities
  • Manage all aspects of project implementation, including budget, resourcing, volunteer management, programme audits and project launches and closure
  • Ensure project deliverables are met and prepare management reports

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or above with minimum 5-7 years of experience in project management
  • Excellent people skills with a proven ability in working with people from all walks of life
  • Keen interest or experience in overseas community development work, preferably South-East Asia
  • Willing to travel regularly

Senior Manager, International Networking

Responsibilities:

The International Networking department seeks to bridge Singaporeans and world communities, and grow Friends of Singapore (FOS) communities in global cities. We connect, promote understanding and nurture enduring relationships between Singaporeans and world communities through people-to-people engagements, the sharing of insights and perspectives, and harnessing the power of ideas and networks to jointly enrich lives.

As senior manager, he/she will be required to develop strategies and programmes, as well as manage a team, to develop a network for SIF partners, alumni and friends around the world. He/she will be initiating, planning and implementing people-to-people exchange programmes to foster cultural relations, and contribute to growing the department’s portfolio in thought leadership, social entrepreneurship, arts and culture, as well as alumni and international community engagement.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder preferably with honours, in international relations/marketing, business administration or mass communications, with minimum eight years of relevant experience in the areas of cultural diplomacy, publicity and outreach, as well as programme and partnership development and management; three of these eight years should be in a managerial capacity
  • Excellent team player with good interpersonal and analytical skills who is highly motivated, meticulous, resourceful and has initiative
  • Possess excellent verbal and written skills in English and keen awareness of intercultural communication; working knowledge of business Mandarin and an Asean language is preferred to liaise with multi-lingual associates
  • Experience in leading teams, and interacting with external parties at different levels of seniority
  • Previous international experience will be considered (such as an overseas stint or high level of interaction with overseas stakeholders)
  • Experience working with the government as a partner will be an added advantage

Senior Manager / Manager, Human Resource

The Human Resource Team provides specialist support to build capability and capacity of our human capital and to ensure systems and structures for organisational excellence.

Responsibilities:

A highly motivated and dynamic individual to support Human Resource Management in various areas including HR Policy and Process Review & Development, Resourcing, Employee Relations, HR Operations and Talent Management.

Requirements:

Senior Manager, Volunteer Management

Responsibilities:

The senior manager will drive and oversee the building of SIF’s community of volunteers to support SIF’s capacity building projects in the region. These include:

  • Promoting the Singapore International Volunteers (SIV) brand and build partnerships to grow the pool of volunteers
  • Recruitment, appointment and training of volunteers
  • Engagement of volunteers through regular networking events, publicity, rewards & recognition and feedback surveys
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the database, administration of policies and processes, to ensure a rewarding volunteer experience
  • Leading and supervising the Volunteer Management team on a day-to-day basis, including planning, budgeting and performance management
  • Assisting in management functions

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or above with at least 8 years of relevant work experience
  • Good track record  in Volunteer Management, Human Resource Management or Alumni Engagement

Assistant Manager, Corporate Communications

Responsibilities:

An experienced and savvy marketing communications specialist who is adept at developing and implementing integrated communication plans with a strong content strategy to expand online community reach, engage and build relationships with online bloggers to effectively generate good  coverage of SIF projects. He/she is passionate about  the developments in social media and demonstrates strong capability on campaign executions across  SIF social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest and Youtube).  He/She will also contribute to build the reach of SIF web properties and strong engagement with online community through SEO, SEM, other online marketing activities and partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or above with minimum  3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong communications specialist with good analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of communications responsibilities
  • Excellent writing skills with strong ability to adopt different styles to engage different audiences
  • Understanding of how to build good relationships with  the online community
  • Highly motivated and innovative in trying out different approaches to meet objectives
