Together with our partners, donors and volunteers, we help communities in a dozen countries to receive education, escape poverty, get access to healthcare and ultimately care for themselves and others.

We also tell stories of people changing lives, and stories of the people whose lives have been changed.

And we help bridge Singaporeans and world communities by engaging change leaders, connecting with the international community and staging cultural showcases to nurture friendships, share perspectives and foster respect.

Assistant Director, Volunteer Cooperation

Programmmes Division

The Programmes Division runs a suite of programmes designed to bring people together to share ideas, skills and resources to enrich lives and effect positive change. Through Volunteer Cooperation (VC) programmes, we build networks between Singapore and Asia through SIF volunteers whose work contribute to positive and sustainable development in Asian communities.


  • Assist in overseeing all aspects of the VC Department’s work to support capacity building in developing communities in Asia
  • Lead planning of the department’s work, in the areas of strategy implementation, budget and resource management, KPI tracking and staff training and development
  • Lead in innovating new programmes to meet emerging market needs and opportunities
  • Assist in building and maintaining alliances with community partners, programme partners, and sponsors to support SIF’s development projects
  • Lead efforts to achieve continuous improvement in business systems and processes towards better project outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Oversee staff managing VC projects and partnerships in selected countries


  • Degree holder or above from recognised university
  • A successful track record in strategy development and execution in the Asia Pacific region, or at least 5 years’ management experience in the non-profit or international development sector
  • An analytical mind with excellent research, writing and editing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including maturity to manage culturally diverse teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Efficient and organised work style to prioritise quickly and manage multiple deadlines, coupled with superior problem solving skills
  • Strong operational experience will be an asset

Senior Manager/Manager, Cultural Exchange

Programmes Division

The Programme Division runs a suite of programmes designed to bring people together to share ideas, skills and resources to enrich lives and effect positive change. Through Cultural Exchange programmes, we connect communities through the arts, visits and dialogues, sharing insights that build greater international understanding and fostering collaborations for a better world.


As a senior manager/manager, you will be required to initiate, plan and implement programmes to promote  cultural understanding and exchanges. You will engage with artists, thought leaders and decision makers and manage international visit programmes, dialogues and cultural initiatives that enhance cross-cultural understanding and open avenues for collaboration and the strengthening of people-to-people ties between Singaporeans and world communities.


  • Degree holder in international relations/marketing, humanities, or mass communications
  • At least five to eight years of relevant experience in the areas of international relations/marketing, communications, as well as partnership development and management
  • Keen interest in culture and current affairs is required
  • Strong team player who is highly motivated, meticulous and resourceful with good interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English with a strong understanding of intercultural communications and engagement; working knowledge of other languages would be an advantage to liaise with international stakeholders
  • Experience in interacting with external parties at all levels
  • Previous international experience will be considered (such as an overseas stint or high-level experience working with overseas stakeholders)

Manager, Global Networks

Strategic Management Division

The Strategic Management Division is responsible for strategic and corporate planning, and budget management. Global Networks formulates and implements strategies and action plans for growing Friends of Singapore (FOS) communities overseas and in Singapore, in partnership with SIF divisions.


As a Manager, you will work in small teams to formulate and implement country plans that strengthen engagement and cooperation between Singaporeans and world communities. Expect to work collaboratively with SIF programme leads for volunteer cooperation, cultural exchange, good business and ourbetterworld to advance strategic goals. You will also partner our international friends to implement alumni engagement activities overseas.


  • Degree holder in international relations, international marketing and communications, public policy/political science, sociology or other social sciences.
  • Minimum five years of experience in international relations or people diplomacy, strategy formulation and business development, alumni engagement, strategic communications.
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, viz. highly motivated, creative, resourceful and resilient. 
  • Good communication skills – written and spoken; proficiency in a third language is advantageous, to liaise with international stakeholders
  • Good people skills – at all levels and across sectors/professions, self-aware and a team player.  
  • Enjoys working across cultures, both locally and overseas.
  • Overseas assignments and/or experience is advantageous.

Manager/Assistant Manager, Good Business

Programmes Division

The Programmes Division runs a suite of programmes designed to bring people together to share ideas, skills and resources to enrich lives and effect positive change. Through the Good Business programmes, we nurture a network of changemakers, such as social entrepreneurs from different nationalities, by enabling and equipping them to embark on social enterprises in Singapore and beyond, contributing to positive change.


As Manager / Assistant Manager, you will develop strategies and implement programmes for young social entrepreneurs in the region. You must be able to lead a virtual team, to develop a network of partners, alumni and stakeholders in order to provide an eco-system for the support and development of young social entrepreneurs which will foster ideas, allow the sharing of knowledge and provide thought leadership, both in the region and internationally.


  • Degree holder or above from recognized university
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in the areas of regional business development, as well as programme and partnership management. International relations will be an added advantage.
  • Prior working experience with corporate sponsors and social sector is a plus
  • Excellent team player with good interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Highly motivated, meticulous, resourceful and has initiative
  • Strong verbal and written skills in English. Working knowledge of business Bahasa Indonesia / Melayu and an Asean language will be an advantage to liaise with regional stakeholders
