| Association of Early Childhood Educators Singapore (AECES) | AECES aims to promote quality programmes for young children and their families through the constant and continuous professional development of early childhood educators. SIF partnered with AECES to conduct a 5-day learning trip for two Vietnamese delegates from The National College of Education, Vietnam. Through this study trip to Singapore (3–8 September 2007), the delegates were sharpened their knowledge and skills by visiting child care centres, development institutes like the Association of Early Childhood Educators Singapore (AECES) and attending the Child Care Seminar in Singapore. | Ministry of Education – OuTrEACH Scheme for Teachers | The Ministry of Education (MOE), in partnership with the Singapore International Foundation (SIF), introduced the OuTrEACH scheme in September 2000. Through OuTrEACH, MOE hopes to support teachers who are keen to volunteer their time and teaching expertise as SVOs. The collaboration between MOE and the SIF in the OuTrEACH scheme is the first such partnership between a public sector employer and a non-government organisation (NGO) to recognise the contributions of SVOs. MOE is the first public sector employer to give recognition to teacher volunteers who form a significant part of Singaporeans who volunteer with the SVO Programme. Website: www.moe.edu.sg |
