SIF Connects! Chennai

Over 120 Friends of Singapore and Singaporeans gathered on 17 February 2017 for our first ever SIF Connects! in Chennai.

The event gave SIF the opportunity to celebrate 22 years of people-to-people relations with our Indian partners, connect with programme partners and alumni, as well as reach out to members of the local community.

Contributing to the warm atmosphere were our partners, the Parikrma Foundation for Humanity Foundation and Buds of Christ, along with Singapore International Volunteers – who shared insights on improving healthcare practices in the country through collaborations with their Indian counterparts.

The event also marked the appointment of Mr Sathish Raman from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as our first representative in Chennai. Sathish will partner the SIF in building “networks of good” between the Singaporean and Indian communities.
