Mr Leik Boonwaat, a representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to Laos, shares his team's learning points from their study visit to Singapore. Mr Boonwaat projects include implementing intervention and education to prevent drug use, and providing drug rehabilitation services in Laos.

Since August 2005, the SIF Singapore Volunteers Overseas programme has been sending volunteers to help train educators from Ullon Social Welfare Society (USWS). In July 2009, the project concluded with a study visit to Singapore by four Bengali teachers. Here, USWS teachers Ms Srabanti Haldar and Ms Sujata Halder share their thoughts on the programme Ms Ayantika Mukherjee, a Singapore PR, kindly volunteered as interpreter for the visit.
