Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation

Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation (APB Foundation) has partnered SIF to enhance the palliative care skills of physicians and nurses in Vietnam and upgrade physiotherapists’ rehabilitation skills and knowledge in Cambodia. Through funding of $123,231 from the APB Foundation, our SVO programme is able to introduce skilled Palliative Care volunteers from Singapore to Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, and to the National Cancer Hospital in Hanoi twice a year from April 2005 to November 2007.

Support of $50,000 from APB Foundation also enabled SIF to send a group of Singapore volunteers to carry out a series of four training programmes over 12 months from July 2006 to July 2007 to improve the quality and range of rehabilitation services provided to disabled Cambodians in Phnom Penh. This is a collaboration between SIF and the Disability Action Council in Cambodia.
