Arts for Good
The Kupang Project
April 2015 - May 2016 | Kupang, Indonesia
The SIF partnered GenerAsia from Singapore to develop a Creative Education Programme (CEP) for the residents of the Roslin Orphanage in Kupang, Indonesia.
Singaporean artists and art educators also conducted a train-the-trainers programme in Kupang to ensure that the CEP can continue even after the project ends, and to encourage the local trainers to continue developing the CEP.
Through this year-long project (April 2015 to May 2016), the residents of the orphanage learnt various artistic skills such as visual arts, theatre, movement, drums and bells.
The SIF’s Arts for Good initiative seeks to contribute to positive social change through collaborations between Singaporean artists and their international counterparts, as well as galvanise greater community involvement in sustainable change.
