The SIF partnered the Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (SPAFFC) to use arts and culture as a means to promote awareness and encourage the public to take action towards sustainable urban living.
Art of Sustainability brought together a diverse group of experts and artists from Singapore and Shanghai: sustainability experts from The Living! Project (Singapore), Fu Jun (Shanghai) from the Shanghai Oil Painting & Sculpture Institute (SPSI) Art Museum, Singaporean and Chinese artists, and various subject matter experts on urban and environmental planning, to collaborate in finding ways to communicate the message of sustainable living to Singaporean and Shanghai communities. Participants drew ideas from shared insights and experiences from both cities. Read more about the project here.
The SIF’s Arts for Good initiative seeks to contribute to positive social change through collaborations between Singaporean artists and their international counterparts, as well as galvanise greater community involvement in sustainable change.
