Our Programmes

The inaugural Republic of Korea (ROK) Directors-General Visit Programme was launched by the SIF in August 2008. The programme seeks to broaden perspectives and strengthen links between South Korea and Singapore.

From 18 to 22 August 2008, the SIF hosted a delegation of five senior Korean government officials.

This first delegation of Directors-General included:

  • Mr Seo Jong-Dae, Vice Administrator of the Multifunctional Administrative City Construction Agency
  • Mr Noh Kwang-Il from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade;
  • Mr Park Cheol-Kyu from the Ministry of Strategy and Finance;
  • Mr Kim Hyung-Sun from the Ministry of Public Administration and Securit;
  • Mr Lee Jang Hoon from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy.

A second delegation participated in a similar progamme in Singapore from 3 to 7 August 2009

  • Ambassador Lim Sungnam from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade;
  • Mr Lee Sang Young from the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Family Affairs;
  • Mr Rhee Ik Hyeon from the Ministry of Government Legislation;
  • Mr Park Jae Ho from the Korean Customs Service;
  • Mr Kim Chang Ryong from the Korean Intellectual Property Office.
