Our Programmes
The Singapore Executive Expeditions (SXX) is a programme that aims to develop global competence and leadership in executives. Since 2005, the SXX programme has taken executives from private and public organisations to places as remote as Bhutan where participants organised a two-day camp for disabled children. Through these expeditions, participating organisations have been able to enrich the personal and professional lives of their executives, while demonstrating their commitment to corporate social responsibility:
Chief Executive Expedition (CXX) Bhutan 2006
The nine-day expedition to Thimphu, Paro and Punakha in Bhutan saw 13 CEOs and senior executives participate in workshops on private sector development and personal renewal experiences. The expedition team also interacted with disadvantaged girls and came up with business plans to help the girls, who were undergoing a life skills and entrepreneurship programme.Developing Responsible Leaders (DRL)-Singapore Executive Expeditions (SXX) 2006
This is a 20-day expedition involving 12 PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) executives from Asia who assisted communities in Yunnan, China. Participants organised interactive workshops with students and staff at a trade college, as well as explored ways to improve the efficiency of the college's mineral water bottling and packing projects. They also refurbished a school, donated books to its library and planted apple trees in the village hosting the school.
Project Open Courtyard
In January 2006, nine executives from Singapore's Ministry of Defence went on an eight-day expedition to Kolkata, India. The participants helped Prajaak, a non-government organisation implement a website and database tracking system. In addition, they also created a syllabus and e-learning programme for children who live around the railways.
Singapore Airlines Cargo Expedition
In June 2006, six Singapore Airlines (SIA) Cargo executives participated in an eight-day expedition that took them to Ullon Social Welfare Society (USWS) in rural West Bengal. They trained 20 pre-school teachers at USWS, which aims to improve the reach and quality of services provided to its community. SIA Cargo also donated money to start a pre-school that also serves as a village resource centre.
Developing Responsible Leaders (DRL)-Singapore Executive Expeditions (SXX) 2005
This is the inaugural SXX expedition where participants from PricewaterhouseCoopers spent 17 days in Bhutan and Bangkok. During the expedition, participants were trained on coaching skills and techniques as part of a professional development programme. They also delivered lectures on developments in the Asian financial sector to Bhutanese executives at the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
