Dr Karaganov ranked among the world’s top 100 public intellectuals in 2005 by international magazines Foreign Policy and The Prospect. He is currently Dean of Russia’s School of International Economics and Foreign Affairs of the State University – Higher School of Economics.
While in Singapore, Dr Karaganov called on Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and Minister for Trade and Industry Mr Lim Hng Kiang. He also delivered a public lecture, “Permanent Geo-political and Geo-economic Change from a Russian Angle”, at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
The SIF Distinguished Visitors Programme has brought prominent leaders from the business, political and civil society sectors, as well as other public personalities from around the world, to Singapore. Through the programme, the visitor has an opportunity to become better acquainted with different facets of Singapore; share thoughts and ideas on issues of mutual interest.
