Arts Connection: Little by Little (Young Business Ambassadors)
Our Chinese friends shared insights on both modern and ancient China, juxtaposing and contrasting Shanghai art precincts in the cosmopolitan city, with age-old traditional art of Chinese paper-cutting, dating back to 6th century A.D. This concluded with a paper-cutting craft workshop. The LAA students "reciprocated" with a sharing of Chinese words unique to Singapore, as well as Chinese New Year and Chinese wedding customs commonly practised in Singapore. This generated lively discussion, with our Chinese friends commenting on the similarities and differences between the two countries.
