Channel NewsAsia and Singapore’s Channel 5 broadcast the ‘On the Red Dot: Friends for a Better World’ TV series from October 2014, featuring young social entrepreneurs from Singapore and the region bridging borders and communities to build a better world through social enterprise. This episode features The Dorsal Effect, SIF’s Young Social Entrepreneurs (YSE) alumni, which champions eco-tourism as an alternative source of livelihood for shark fishermen in Lombok, Indonesia, in a bid to preserve the shark population.
