On the Red Dot: Friends for a Better World – Malaysia & Singapore

Channel NewsAsia and Singapore’s Channel 5 broadcast the ‘On the Red Dot: Friends for a Better World’ TV series from October 2014, featuring young social entrepreneurs from Singapore and the region bridging borders and communities to build a better world through social enterprise. This episode features Little Marios, SIF’s Young Social Entrepreneurs (YSE) alumni, and their bid to transform the lives of children in a home in Penang, Malaysia, by teaching ownership and responsibility through their mushroom-growing enterprise. Also featured is YSE alumni Society Staples, a Singapore-based duo seeking to promote inclusivity between abled and less abled communities in Singapore through events and the setting up of a gym for the less abled.
