Mission

Through shared ideas, skills and experiences, we uplift lives and create greater understanding between Singaporeans and world communities.

Elaboration on the Vision and Mission

At SIF, we strongly believe that dialogue, shared experiences and collaboration advance international understanding and help build a world that is mutually inclusive, peaceful and offers opportunities for ourselves and others.

We do this through three thrusts:

1. Working with communities for sustained development

We work with developing communities and Singapore’s volunteers to share knowledge, skills and resources to help improve the well-being of communities and uplift their lives. Together, we identify areas for improvement and implement changes that result in tangible progress.

2. Exchanging ideas for greater understanding

We engage emerging leaders to exchange ideas and bring people together to share knowledge that addresses today’s issues and explore tomorrow’s opportunities. It is through these people-to-people exchanges that we broaden perspectives and promote understanding between Singaporeans and world communities.

3. Showcasing Singapore to build ties

We introduce the culture, society and people of Singapore to the world to enhance their understanding of, and relationship with Singapore. The lives of Singaporeans are also enriched when others share their country and culture with us.
