As a passionate advocate for digital media literacy, he works as a Content Producer for Biz Brunei, a Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) initiative. DARe is a government statutory body that supports micro, small and medium enterprises. He has a decade of experience in digital and print media. In addition, he is a creative producer, advisor, and mentor to creative non-governmental organisations, art galleries and film production houses.

Khairunnisa Ash’ari has 10 years of experience working in youth development, welfare, social enterprise, and the environment.

Khairunnisa is currently the first female President of the Brunei Youth Council, a national body that oversees youth development and welfare in the country through local, regional, and international programmes. Her work includes providing a platform for youth engagement in the policymaking process and youth capacity-building programmes.

In addition, she is the Co-Founder and Community Engagement Director of Green Brunei, a social enterprise that promotes environmental sustainability through education, conservation, and advocacy. Green Brunei actively conducts tree planting, beach clean-ups and educational programmes, focusing on the youth.

Ms Nurul Hadina Binti Haji Alias

Hadina Alias (Dina)'s passion lies in lifelong learning, the fascination of ideas and introspection to help inspire and create positive change for individuals. Dina is a Development Officer at WeCare, where she teaches the public critical thinking skills and effective communication. She is also a Curator at the Global Shapers Bandar Seri Begawan Hub and the Deputy President of the Brunei Youth Council (Brunei Muara). 

As an ASEAN Advocate under the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Action Campaign, she founded MY Actions for SDGs in June 2018, a community that brings people's voices into discussions about the SDGs, and is leading a team to help educate and empower youths in Brunei to take action for the SDGs.

Chansambath Bong (Sambath) is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Inclusive Digital Economy at the Asian Vision Institute, a think tank based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Concurrently, he is an International Relations lecturer at the Institute for International Studies and Public Policy, Royal University of Phnom Penh. From 2018 to 2020, Sambath was a Fulbright scholar at Kansas State University, where he pursued a Master’s Degree in Security Studies. His current research interests are in Cambodia’s foreign and security policy and the geopolitics of cyberspace and emerging technologies.

Occasionally, Narath engages in discussions and events as a panellist, sharing her perspectives on various issues related to regional and global affairs.

She has received several awards, which include the 2019 Southeast Asia Young Leader and Global Strategic Leadership Award, the 2021 EU Social Digi Award, and the GenT-Tatler Leader of Tomorrow Honoree. She was also the elected 2017 Southeast Asian Young Leader for the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue, the 2022 Young Global Changer from Global Solutions Initiative and is part of the US-ASEAN Women’s Leadership Network.

He also worked as an Editorial Advisor for the UNESCO-International Centre of Martial Arts and was a graduate of TechCamp Malaysia 2020, in which his team conducted Southeast Asia's first research on TikTok's impact towards Generation Z. He regularly shares his views on sustainability, geopolitics, and intercultural understanding topics on the South China Morning Post.

 

Mr Jan Wong Joon Kit

Jan Wong is the Founder of OpenMinds, a 10-years bootstrapped, martech consultancy firm based in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The UNDI18 Bill has enfranchised an additional 5.8 million voters, transforming the Malaysian political landscape. In 2020, he helped to launch Parlimen Digital, the first youth-led virtual Parliament session in the world.

Tharma was a recipient of Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2021 and Prestige 40 Under 40 in 2019. He was formerly an appointee to the National Youth Consultative Council and the Senate Reform Committee.

A Singaporean youth passionate about creating social impact, Luo Chen Jun believes that it is every Singaporean's duty to spread the actions and initiatives of social good beyond Singapore and create regional impact and visibility among our ASEAN neighbours. To promote racial harmony, diversity and inclusion, Chen Jun's role in Meta Singapore has been proven to be critical in encouraging diversity among youths in Singapore, especially through his involvement in managing fireside chat sessions with key leadership members for Pride@Meta, featuring LGBTQ-owned businesses that garnered more than 1000+ views across the APAC region.

Through his involvement as a Board Member of the Swedcham Young Professionals and Singapore Leaders Network youth ambassador, Chen Jun is constantly striving for true equity to be realised by inspiring youths within Singapore and across the ASEAN region.

Mr Mohammad Matin Bin Mohdari

Strategy Director,
Tech For Good Institute

Matin Mohdari is currently the Strategy Director at Tech For Good Institute, a non-profit autonomous think tank founded by Grab to catalyse new research and collaboration to unlock the promise of Southeast Asia's digital economy. As part of the founding team, he works with the Institute’s Executive Director to drive strategic development, as well as execution for thought-leadership activities and policy engagements with country think tanks, academics, and multilateral organisations whose work are focused on the intersections of public policy and technology. Prior to this role, Matin spent nine years in the public and tech sector and was involved in portfolios that included incentive policy planning and strategy, industry development, investment promotion, social impact, thought leadership and policy operations.

Matin is also the Director of Marketing Communications at a local Malay community self-help group, Young MENDAKI Club which runs youth mentorship and development programmes for the underserved.

Ms Nurul Huda Binte Abdul Hamid

Huda Hamid is a serial entrepreneur and educator. She founded Fempreneur Secrets, which empowers women to lead purposeful businesses online. Her work was also mentioned during the debate in Singapore's Parliament where Members of Parliament endorsed the White Paper on Women & Development. Fempreneur Secrets was a winner of the SIF Young Social Entrepreneurs programme in 2020.

Huda believes in the value of education and aspires to equip women with business knowledge as a survival skill. She has been featured on Channel News Asia, Borneo Bulletin and more. Huda has also been nominated The Most Compassionate Womenpreneur Award in 2019 and was invited to speak at events supported by Google Singapore, the U.S. State Department and the State Department of the United Arab Emirates.

Ms Paranjothy Vanessa Anne

Vanessa Paranjothy is one of three Co-Founders of Freedom Cups. The organisation gets reusable menstrual products to women and have worked with over 30 under-resourced communities across 10 countries in Asia, Africa, and North America. Freedom Cups was a winner of the SIF Young Social Entrepreneurs programme in 2017.

Vanessa was selected as one of 12 in the inaugural cohort of Obama Foundation Scholars at Columbia University and has a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University. She has been listed on the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list, Tatler's Generation T list, and was awarded the Commonwealth Youth Award for Excellence in Development Work representing Asia. Vanessa has talked about the importance of sustainable periods with eight different Heads of State.

Tommy Koh is a civil servant currently posted to the Ministry of Trade and Industry. As a trade official, he negotiates services commitments for the ASEAN Economic Community's internal agreements as well as Free Trade Agreements with ASEAN's dialogue partners. Beyond negotiations, Tommy contributes to developing Singapore's ASEAN strategy and shaping the contours of the post-2025 ASEAN Community Vision. Tommy is a firm believer that greater ASEAN economic integration will position the region well for the future of work. Beyond work, Tommy champions for local impact initiatives, including through the St. Gallen Symposium Singapore Chapter and the National Youth Achievement Award Council.

Currently, her social enterprise aims to educate highland farmers in ThanhHoa province on bee farms and to produce high-quality honey-related products to improve socio-economic life. In addition, she designs experience-based learning to raise young people’s awareness of environmental issues and sustainability, particularly on the role of bees in our ecosystem.
