Exploring the Anthropocene through the Arts

Exploring the Anthropocene through the Arts hopes to raise awareness of sense of place, identity, and its correlation to land topographic changes. Environmental artist and educator Ms Zen Teh (Singapore) invited participants to weave artefacts, such as photographs and maps, into a larger artwork at workshops in Singapore and Cambodia. These items represented the relationships between people and their land, further indicating a collective understanding of a shared environment.

The workshops were conducted as part of contemporary art exhibition documenta 15. The project culminated in exhibitions and artist talks at Photo Phnom Penh Festival and Sa Sa Arts Projects Gallery in Cambodia.
