Past Project: April – July 2020
Gift A Song is a collaborative project between the SIF and musicians in Singapore to bring cheer to world communities.
Led by Singaporean music veteran and SIF Citizen Ambassador Clement Chow, 16 talented homegrown artistes recorded song dedications from their home to lift our spirits with music. Heart-warming dedications were received from people around the world, sending messages of encouragement, gratitude, love, and hope to communities affected by COVID-19. Recipients included those struggling due to the crisis – migrant workers, small business owners or people coping with strained mental health; people who have stepped up to help vulnerable communities in times of need—social enterprises, NGOs, volunteers, and medical workers who are at the frontline of the fight against the virus.
SIF Patron and Singapore’s President Madam Halimah Yacob dedicated the SIF theme song “Better World, Brighter Future” to all Singaporeans and friends from overseas communities, encouraging everyone to stand united, stay safe and look after one another so that we can emerge stronger from the crisis.
