Water for Life
Water for Life provides rural communities with access to drinking water through the implementation of clean water technology, and enhances their quality of life via improved health and hygiene practices.
- Assembling, building and installing bio-sand filters in village households
- Conducting basic hygiene training, such as hand washing and tooth brushing, in villages and schools.

REQUIREMENTS
To volunteer, you will need to reside in Singapore and be:
- At least 18 years old
- Medically fit for overseas travel
- Culturally-sensitive
- Adaptable and willing to serve
- Open to sharing and learning
- A team player with good interpersonal skills
Volunteers are required to finance their own volunteer trip, including airfare, accommodation, travel insurance, local transport and meals.

While addressing the specific needs of the rural population of these two districts, the SIF is also contributing to achieve global goals such as the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, one of which aims for universal access to water and sanitation for all by 2030.
