Water for Life
Water for Life provides rural communities with access to drinking water through the implementation of clean water technology, and enhances their quality of life via improved health and hygiene practices.
- Assembling, building and installing bio-sand filters in village households
- Conducting basic hygiene training, such as hand washing and tooth brushing, in villages and schools.
In view of the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, all volunteer trips will be postponed until further notice.
Our volunteers’ and partners’ well-being and safety are of utmost importance to us. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep you updated. Please drop us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions, or would like to register your interest for future trips.
To volunteer, you will need to reside in Singapore and be:
Volunteers are required to finance their own volunteer trip, including airfare, accommodation, travel insurance, local transport and meals.
While addressing the specific needs of the rural population of these two districts, the SIF is also contributing to achieve global goals such as the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, one of which aims for universal access to water and sanitation for all by 2030.
