Ng Kee Chong and Anette Jacobsen from Singapore’s KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital are among a number of medical professionals who regularly volunteer for SIF projects to improve healthcare in developing communities.
Since 2004, the SIF, KK Hospital and Cambodia’s National Pediatric Hospital (NPH) have been working together to boost paediatric care in Phnom Penh.
In 2008, this partnership contributed to the infant mortality rate at the NPH dropping by 22 percentage points.
Our partners and volunteers are a fundamental part of such positive change.
Their dedication and passion enable us to bring together medical teams from Singapore, Cambodia and countries around Asia to learn from one another.
