Water for Life

SIFs Water for Life project in Siem Reap provides villagers with convenient access to clean drinking water by installing bio-sand filters in village households within the communes of Dan Run and Dam Dek. Next year, were setting up a three-year project in Lamongan, Indonesia and we are currently working with our partner, Metro for Children charity, to raise funds in support of this project. We’re working to expand the programme to other parts of Cambodia and even to other countries.

Water For Life Yangon Project

Through Water for Life (Yangon), the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) will install 36 tube wells to 36 villages in the districts of Kaw Hmu and Kungyangon.
 
These two districts are located along the Ayeyarwady Delta, where up to 95% of homes, water and sanitation facilities were destroyed by Cyclone Nargis in 2008. Currently, less than 30% of population in the delta region has access to safe drinking water.
