Service-Learning
Our Service-Learning Programme integrates youth participation into our volunteer-led international development work, enabling students to apply their learning through meaningful service while contributing to the needs of communities across the ASEAN region and beyond. The programme combines hands-on service, structured reflection, and intercultural engagement to nurture empathy, leadership, and a strong sense of social responsibility among young Singaporeans. It contributes to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
In collaboration with experienced Singapore International Volunteers (SIVs) and regional partners, youth participants from Singapore support community-driven initiatives in areas such as access to clean water, mental health awareness, and allied health. The programme provides opportunities for youth participants to receive mentorship from SIVs and to drive meaningful social impact that fosters regional progress and shared prosperity. It also provides a pathway for participants to become the next generation of SIVs.
