A Great Place to Work

  • Diversity & Inclusion

  • Employee Value Proposition

  • Innovation @ SIF

Recognised as a “Progressive Employer” by the Tripartite Alliance for Fair & Progressive Employment Practices, we value diversity in our workforce. Diversity at our organisation includes fostering a workplace where individual differences and abilities are recognised, appreciated, respected and treated in ways that fully develop and utilise each person's talents and strengths. We are therefore committed to offering career opportunities to all candidates regardless of age, gender, religion, marital status, disability and socio-economic background.

We are also delighted to be conferred the Enabling Mark (Silver) award by the SG Enable -- which benchmarks and recognises organisations for their best practices and outcomes in disability-inclusive hiring. We were assessed on six factors, namely Leadership, Culture and Climate; Recruitment Practices; Workplace Accessibility and Accommodations; Employment Practices; Community Engagement and Promotion; and Extent of Inclusive Hiring. This award is an encouragement to our journey in building disability inclusiveness at our workplace -- reflecting SIF’s core value of people-centredness.

So what makes SIF a great place to work?  We do this through an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that balances both corporate and personal goals: “Organisational Culture”, “Rewards & Recognition”, “Career & Personal Growth” and “Work-Life Integration”.  Through our EVP, we aim to differentiate SIF as an employer of choice in the non-profit and international organisation space – offering not only meaningful work resulting in a greater good, but also a positive work culture and experience, and personalised professional growth for our employees.

A key operating outcome for SIF is to become an effective and innovative organisation. Innovation at SIF is defined as the successful implementation of appropriate ideas which add value to our vision and mission. As a lean non-profit organisation, innovation is central in helping us optimise resources and do more with what we have. With SIF’s Innovation Framework in place, we adopt a structured approach to generate, upvote, evaluate, implement, recognise and reward ideas from our employees to improve process or programme.

In recognition of SIF’s commitment and efforts as an organisation to cultivate and champion innovation, we were awarded the “Best Innovation in HR” at the HR Festival Asia 2019.
